“We are a building community where non-believers become believers, believers become leaders and leaders become world changers.”
--InterVarsity's vision at CSU East Bay

Intervarsity is an international college club that is more than just a bible study group: it involves global and urban projects, intercollegiate conferences, small group meetings,  and socials, to name a few.  It is multi-ethnic, evangelical, non-denominational experience where students of different backgrounds can gather, learn about, and appreciate God’s work together.

Incorporated in 1941, InterVarsity now serves 32,000 students and faculty on more than 550 college and university campuses nationally and has spread to other countries as well.

My involvement with InterVarsity: I came to InterVarsity through the French "door," Groupes Bibliques Universitaires, as an exchange student in France. I've been part of the familly of InterVarsity and the IFES (International Fellowship of Evangelical Students) for over 10 years!  I've been on staff, working in Paris and at CSUEB, for 6 years.
What I like about InterVarsity: What's not to like?! When my husband was on staff at UCSB and I was teaching, I used to get jealous that he had so many opportunities to learn about God and His Word! I love that we are challenged to learn how to follow Jesus fully. I love the training IV offers on how to live out our faith in today's world.

My involvement with InterVarsity:  I have been involved with InterVarsity for about a year now.  Being a Wednesday co-leader has been great because of the friendships that are made when dig into the Bible on Campus. You can also catch me having fun and fellowship at the Awesome events InterVarsity hosts for the campus!
What I like about InterVarsity: I love the fellowship and the family feeling that you get out of it. Its the amazing feeling that you are a part of a big family: Jesus' family. For a commuter or international student, I myself am a commuter,  it is sometime hard to find this while on the go. InterVarsity provides it all. We are family and we learn to be accountable to one another. Plus, It a great place to make Life long Friendships. Hope to see you there!

My involvement with InterVarsity: I have been involved with InterVarsity since the beginning of my freshman year. I am one of the Wednesday Noon Bible Study Co-Leaders, communicator with the school, and handle the logistical aspect of InterVarsity.
What I like about InterVarsity: InterVarsity has become a family away from home for me. It is tough starting over in a new environment with different people, especially at a commuter school. Through InterVarsity, I found good people and established solid friendships through fellowship. The Bible Studies have challenged me to grow in my faith and fall even deeper in love with God. The things that God is doing on our campus, especially through InterVarsity, is just SO AWESOME! =]
